1. The service

DesignMode24 provides free in-browser compression tools for images, files, audio and video at designcompress.io. The tools run on your device; we provide the software, you provide the files and the computing.

2. Acceptable use

You agree to use the tools only for files you have the right to process. Don’t use DesignMode24 to compress and redistribute content you don’t own or have licensed, and don’t attempt to disrupt the site (scraping at abusive rates, probing for vulnerabilities, etc.). We may block abusive traffic to keep the site fast for everyone.

3. Your files stay yours

Because compression happens locally in your browser, your files never reach our servers. We claim no ownership, license or interest in anything you compress. You are responsible for keeping backups of originals — compression is lossy for images, audio and video, and we can’t recover a file we never received.

4. No warranties

The tools are provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We aim for correct, honest compression, but we don’t guarantee specific file sizes, quality outcomes or compatibility with every device and browser. Results vary by input file — that’s the nature of compression, not a defect promise.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DesignMode24 is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including lost files, lost profits or business interruption. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us — which, for the free tools, is zero.

6. Free tier and future paid plans

The four core compressors are free with no account required. If we introduce optional paid plans (see Pricing), their specific terms will be presented at purchase and will not retroactively limit the free tools.

7. Changes

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be noted here with a new “last updated” date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
